- *High lift kit note…. the drag link is notably longer than our standard kit…. you will need to be at over 6.5″ of EFFECTIVE steering lift height. AKA if you are at 8″ lift with a 3″ drop pitman arm, your steering is effectively at 5″ of lift and should go with the standard drag link plus magnum heim. If you are at 10″ with a 3″ drop pitman, you are net 7″ lift and the high lift is the correct choice.

Notes:
- ZJ models (namely 1998) have a greater chance of different drag link length setup and often require a longer drag link adjustment. We suggest going the magnum Heim route to ensure long enough adjustment range. We are still working on comparing parts to figure out why the 98 models seem to be having this adjustment difference.

I received my package within like a week of ordering, install was very simple and straightforward. Didn’t really read through the provided instructions until towards the end, but was nice to have confirmation I put it in right and what to torque it all to! Since then I’ve beat on it pretty hard and it’s all still just fine.

i dont normally do reviews but this company totally deserves one!!! got my zj crossover steering a few months back, i had a local place powder coat it viper red and omg does it look, perform and feel amazing!!! the welds are the best ive ever seen, the hardware is top notch, the instructions are spot on and clear, and the candy is a total plus!!!! id totally recommend trail forged to anyone i know and if i ever need to buy anything like this again they will totally get my money… customer service is top notch and fast!!!!

I should of left a review a long time ago! I was getting ready to move to Arizona and they I had selected powder coating and didn’t realize it took longer to ship so I contacted them and let them know I needed it sooner so they shipped me a bare metal one and it got here in about a week(just in time before I drive my xj to Arizona) this kit is amazing and I had recently bought a new Jeep with the Currie off-road steering and what a different it makes from have Heim joints to have TRE I am planning on purchasing one here soon! Will be the sending kit I’ve bought! Definitely recommend this kit!!

Just got the crossover steering for my 96 grand Cherokee with a 7″ Clayton long arm, extremely satisfied with the quality and extremely simple to install.
