You have our WJ 1 Ton TRE steering, installed under the knuckle, and you’re now ready to flip it over the knuckle. Look no further, the complete parts kit to flip it is here:
- (2) new tie rod ends for your drag link (you will be flipping your drag link end to end, and replacing the joints with different offset ones)
- (3) 1 ton tapered sleeves to flip the tapers from bottom to top on the knuckles (requires reaming knuckles to 7/8″)
- Optional 7/8″ reamer to make install super quick and easy
- We carry both generic sourced tie rod ends as well as those from Apex Chassis. The generic parts are of good quality and strong, but overall the Apex parts are of higher quality, with better boots, and better overall longevity.
If you are looking to flip your steering OTK, you should also be switching to an OTA trackbar that raises your axle side trackbar mount up. If you do not change trackbar geometry, you will induce bump steer. We strongly suggest our OTA kit, as it is the ONLY axle side OTA trackbar on the market. Don’t be fooled by trackbar drop brackets at the frame… you will lower roll center, tilt roll axis forward, and severely harm vehicle handling and stability in doing this. Raising the axle end is the only correct way to do this!
